Emergency Department

The volunteers will provide specific direction, information and assistance to customers entering the emergency department waiting area; acts as liaison between customers and emergency department staff.

The assignment includes our new Fast Track service. We will need volunteers from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The hours can be flexible.

Emergency Department Duties
  • Keeps log of E.D. customers on a tracking system
  • Greets visitors, offering assistance
  • Makes coffee for family members
  • Runs errands for emergency and registration associates
  • Takes patients from Triage to their assigned rooms
  • Gets warm blankets for patients, when appropriate
