Intensive Care Unit

The volunteer provides specific direction, information and assistance to visitors entering the intensive care unit waiting area; acts as a liaison between visitors and intensive care unit staff.

Dependable, caring volunteers are needed for this area. The hours are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. These hours can be very flexible as well.

Intensive Care Unit Duties
  • Direct visitors to location throughout the medical center
  • Intercepts visitors approaching intensive care to offer assistance
  • Makes coffee, when appropriate, for family members
  • Runs errands for intensive care unit associates
  • Makes charts, when directed, for ICU
