FAQ’s Diagnostic Imaging Image is everything!

What is Imaging Services? The Imaging Department is made up of several different imaging modalities for testing procedures performed in our unit.  These services are provided by trained professional technologists, which are staffed 24 hours a day.

How do I get a test ordered? A physician’s order and diagnosis is required. The physician’s office will schedule a specific date and time for the exam. Where is the Imaging department located? The Imaging department is located on the ground floor of Southeastern Med. Patients enter through the medical center’s main entrance and take the elevators down to the Outpatient Registration area to register for testing.

What do I do when I arrive? Once you arrive at Outpatient Registration, a volunteer assigned to the area will take your name and notify you once the registration paperwork is processed. The technologist performing your exam will then greet you in the waiting area and escort you to the imaging department where your exam will be completed.

Why do I sometimes have to wait even if I have a scheduled appointment? The Imaging department is a very busy place. The department is responsible for all imaging procedures including inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients.If you have any questions concerning your test, please feel free to contact the Imaging Department and ask to speak to a  technologist at (740) 439-8716 or the radiology nurses at (740) 439-8085.
