MRO Services

WorkPro has a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). A certified MRO must pass a board certification and have had appropriate medical training in workplace drug testing. Medical Review Officer Certification Council’s (MROCC) certification examination is
based upon federal requirements developed by the Departmentwpmichelleanddrkettlewellof Health and Human Services for federal drug testing programs. Certified MRO’s are able to be involved in more aspects of the drug and alcohol testing. It allows them to provide quarterly reports, maintain equipment, and go on-site to administer drug and alcohol tests. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) recognizes MRO certification status. This is important because only a certified MRO can review drug testing under DOT.

The MRO certification assures those in need of MRO services that the physician is up-to-date on the latest rules and regulations on drug and alcohol testing, current developments and issues dealing with medical review officer requirements. All this means is that the industrial clients and their associates will know that the physician is responsible for their
entire drug testing program and will follow all federal regulations. Drug and alcohol testing is very important to everyone involved: the client, the associate, their co-workers, the testing facility, and the MRO. From the pre-hire, random, post-accident testing
process, and random generation with program management.
